We were already well into our fitness careers when we started Generational Fitness. Our focus is on African American families and other underserved communities because of the disproportionately high rates of hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity. We want to show families what is possible when you eat healthy, work out regularly, get plenty of rest, and manage your stress. As a father and daughter duo we're on are a mission to lead by example and spread the message of fitness and health. Don't let age stand in your way if you're older and don't take your health for granted if you're young. Here's a little bit more about us.
I'm Coach Obasi and I've been a Certified Nutrition Coach, a Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and Personal Trainer for 10 years. During my career as a fitness professional, I've worked with hundreds of people and helped them lose weight, increase their endurance, develop strength, build confidence, and improve the quality of their lives. I got into fitness because of my family history of diabetes and high blood pressure. In 2010 I found out that I was a borderline diabetic, and I knew I had to make some changes. I became a personal trainer because I was determined to improve my health and show others how to lead healthier lives too.
When you begin your fitness journey it's important to be patient. You're not going to reach your goals overnight. You'll have setbacks along the way, but you have to keep going. There will be days when you don't feel like working out, but you have to keep going. There will be days when you want to abandon healthy eating, but you have to stay focused on your goals. Like I say all the time, “Fitness ain’t Free! You gotta pay some dues, but your goals are within reach as long as you have a plan and don’t quit.”

Hi, I'm Coach Eboni and I'm a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. I was inspired to pursue a career in fitness after seeing the huge impact my dad, Coach Obasi, was making in the lives of others through personal training. I've been admired for my athletic build and personable demeanor, and paired with my desire to help others, I started my own personal training journey. I've worked with clients of different fitness levels, from beginners to those with more experience, but I especially enjoy taking on clients who are just starting their fitness journey.
I get excited when I witness their progress and watching them become stronger and more confident puts a huge smile on my face. My favorite advice to give her clients is “Take it one day at a time, one rep at a time. And most importantly, always remember why you started!”
